MAPRA Contest 2019

Eligibility Criteria

1- Egyptian students enrolled in any University inside the Arab republic of Egypt

2- Submitted research topics/theses should not be participating in any awards other than MAPRA

3- The research must have a direct impact on the Pharmaceutical industry in Egypt & should improve the quality of life.

4- The research should be applicable in Egypt and tailored to satisfy the Egyptian health needs

For Undergraduate Students :-

Each participant should choose and submit only 1 out of the 3 topics proposed by Evapharma

Students at the 6th Semester study group and above are allowed to participate

Freshly graduated students for up to maximum 2 years of graduation are allowed to participate

For Graduate Students :-

Submitted theses (M.Sc/PhD) should only cover one of the following research disciplines:

  • Pharmaceutics
  • Industrial Pharmacy
  • Supergenerics/Biobetters
  • Pharmaceutical/Organic Chemistry (Synthesis)
  • Genetic drug targeting
  • Medical biosensors
  • Medicated Nanofibers

Master students finalizing their theses for dissertation , or have already disserted for max up to 2 years are allowed to participate

PhD students finalizing their theses for dissertation, or have already disserted for max up to 3 years are allowed to participate

Enrollment Terms and Conditions:

By participating in the MAPRA award & submitting your research topic/thesis on EVA Pharma’s website, you are abiding to the following agreements:

  • EVA Pharma is committed and fully abiding to the confidentiality & privacy of the submitted research topics and theses
  • EVA Pharma is entitled to receive and review the submitted research topics/theses and solely has the right to implement the ideas of the winning research topic/thesis
  • Incomplete experimental work in the submitted research/theses may be coordinated for practical implementation at MARC (Mounir Armanious Research Center), one of biggest research centers in the MENA region located at the EU licensed EVA Pharma facility

Plagiarism Warning

  1. No student shall represent the work of another person as his/her own research topic &/or theses, even if the represented material constitutes only a part of the work submitted.
  2. No student shall copy ideas found in the print, books, articles or on the Internet without giving proper credit to the original sources.
  3. No student shall download or copy, in part or entirety, articles or research papers found on the Internet and submit the paper as his/her own work without proper quotations or citations of the original sources
  4. Any student found to have committed or aided and abetted the offence of plagiarism may be subject to the following penalties depending on the severity of his involvement in such an offence.
  5. The research work, thesis or project of the student of committed plagiarism would be totally not considered & would not receive any prizes
  6. The student who committed plagiarism will not be considered for any training or employment opportunity at MARC center nor EVA Pharma

For Postgraduates:

Submitted theses (M.Sc/PhD) should be a novel research project work (See the project work/proposal template guide section) including preliminary data, if any, in only one of the following research disciplines:

  • Pharmaceutical/Organic Chemistry (Synthesis)
  • Genetic drug targeting

For Undergraduate Students:
  • 1st Prize: 10,000 EGP
  • 2nd Prize: 5,000 EGP
  • A great chance of hiring in the R&D Department at EVA Pharma
  • An opportunity of implementing the research project work at MARC Center
For Graduate Students:
  • Each of the proposed research disciplines will be entitled to an award of 30,000 EGP
